Site Introduction Guangzhou Seiko Instruments Ltd. Was established in 1999 and put into production in April 2000.It is one of the most famous manufacturer of liquied crystal display(LCD) in the world and is the subsidiary of well-kown SII Japan. GSI sticks to strategy of continual improvement of environment and quality and fully recognizes its responsibility to conduct business in ways which will augment efforts to protect the environment,calling upon all employees to "keep the environment green & the earth clean".
Environmental Policy With a view for the future benefit of mankind,GSI has created an integrated system,based on the following items, to realize effective environmental protection.
  1. GSI Obeys all environmental laws and regulations,thus contributing to the effective control of environmental pollution;
  2. GSI enhances the awareness of all employees regarding environmental protection, directs them to form good,environmentally-friendly habits and encourages them to participate in environmental protection activities;
  3. GSI makes wise use of resources and controls pollution at its source as follows:

    • a.To implement 3R activity to reduce energy & resource consumption for earth protection;
    • b.Giving high priority to "green" materials in design and development processes;
    • c.Marking clear classifications on wastes and taking recycling measures;

  4. GSI periodically conducts internal audits to ensure continuous improvement in its environmental protection activities;
  5. GSI optimizes production technologies and implements clean production processes designed to enhance the GSI brand with "green" LCD products.

Tree-planting Activity

Guangzhou Seiko Instruments Ltd. (GSI) planned and carried out a tree-planting activity in cooperation with a labor union. A total of 174 employees participated and planted ten Ilex Rotunda (Kurogane Holly) plants in South China Botanical Garden.
