Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII) announces the current status of SII group operations affected by the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake that struck on March 11, 2011.

The buildings and facilities of manufacturing sites in the affected Tohoku region have sustained no serious damage and the safety of all the employees has been confirmed.

The operations have been resumed after the suspension due to inspection and restoration. However, some manufacturing sites may temporarily suspend a part of their manufacturing operations because of planned power outages as well as shortages of raw materials and components.
