SII conducts comprehensive quality assurance activities throughout the group to ensure our products can be used safely and with peace of mind.

  • Basic Quality Policy

This policy embodies SII's strong commitment to customer satisfaction, encompassing not only quality but also cost, delivery, and product safety.To implement this quality policy, we have established a quality assurance promotion system and are working on the following basic initiatives:

1.Compliance with domestic and international technical regulations and various standards related to quality and product safety
2.Creating mechanisms for building in quality and product safety at the development and design stages, and human resource development

  • Quality-Related Education

    We provide quality management education for all employees to enable each individual to contribute to quality improvement. Currently, our courses are broadly divided into 6 fields with a total of 30 courses, ranging from beginner-level courses to expert development programs. In addition to these group training sessions, each business unit conducts product-specific quality education. By providing education tailored to the quality requirements of each product, we aim to enhance educational effectiveness.

  • Quality Assurance that Builds in Safety and Security

    SII's fundamental approach to product safety is "to reliably provide safe products and services to customers, enhancing their peace of mind and trust." We conduct continuous product safety education to raise product safety awareness and develop safety engineers. Additionally, we have established a Product Safety Liaison Committee within the SII Group, conducting regular product safety and technical regulatory inspections for all products to verify product safety and compliance with regulations in each country.

  • Building Quality from the Development Stage

    Quality issues and variations often originate in the development and design stages. SII particularly focuses on building quality at these development and design stages and thoroughly enhancing technical completeness as part of our quality improvement activities. As initiatives, related departments including quality assurance, R&D, production technology, and analytical evaluation collaborate to improve engineers' analytical thinking using quality engineering, statistical methods, CAE, and instrumental analysis, as well as minimizing quality variations through simultaneous optimization of design and processing parameters.

  • Business Process Inspection

    SII aims to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. To ensure this, the headquarters quality assurance department conducts "Business Process Inspections" for all business divisions, including overseas operations. These inspections examine the reliability of all business processes, awareness levels, improvement progress, and effectiveness to build in quality.

  • Quality Audits / Technical Guidance

    Providing high-quality products and services requires audit capabilities to identify process issues and technical guidance skills that lead to problem resolution. To enhance audit quality, we operate internal study groups on quality management systems to improve both audit capabilities and technical guidance skills.
