SPRON510 is a proprietary alloy developed in collaboration with the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, originally for mainsprings used in mechanical watches.

Strong, corrosion-resistant, and highly resilient, SPRON510 combines high strength, excellent spring-back characteristics, superior corrosion resistance, and non-magnetic properties. Even in harsh operating environments, it minimizes changes in spring performance and delivers stable, repeatable operation over extended periods.

Exhibits tensile strength exceeding that of SUS631-H. As a strain-aging alloy, its strength can be further enhanced by optimizing the cold working rate and heat treatment conditions.

Shows minimal set (loss of elasticity) under both static and dynamic loading, enabling even micro springs to achieve high spring force. After 1 million cycles in a repeated fatigue test, the set ratio is approximately one-sixth that of piano wire.

Demonstrates superior corrosion resistance compared to SUS316L in tests using 48% hydrobromic acid (HBr) and 36% hydrochloric acid (HCl).

Exhibits extremely low magnetic permeability, with no significant variation even at higher levels of cold working.

Ideal for components used in measurement and analytical equipment where magnetic interference must be minimized.
